Film Premiere Friday

I spent the past week diving back into the tougher parts of my thesis writing, and I’ll have some new material for you to pore over soon.  In the meantime, this is much more interesting.

Children of Invention – a fantastic movie filmed in Randolph and Boston – finished winning awards on the festival circuit and is beginning a limited theatrical run.  The Boston premiere is Friday the 26th at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge to be followed by a premiere party with the director and Randolph native Tze Chun at Om Restaurant.  You can get tickets to the movie here  More info on the film and the New York and LA premieres is here

That’s my street!! When was this movie made?

this movie was all sorts of incredible. i literally popped it in the DVD and for the rest of the day I was walking around like I had accomplished something too big to fathom by witnessing it from start to finish.

    Tormentingly natural.

it is so easy to recognize any one of those characters… grandma, the small business realtor, naturalized citizen housewives, the unstoppable first generation and search out parallels all around in people i know and care for.
